Mocktail Recipes
If you’ve taken notice recently, it seems like the market for non-alcoholic (NA) beverages, also sometimes referred to as mocktails, is growing rapidly. And that’s correct, “according to forecasts, the market is anticipated to experience an annual growth rate of 4.56% between 2023 and 2027”. Perhaps you’re already someone who enjoys a virgin drink on the regular or you’re interested in pursuing this more going forward - either way this post is for you!
Additionally if you’re interested in learning more about intuitive drinking, these posts by fellow RDs are great places to start:
NA Bloody Mary:
4 oz of Bloody Mary mix of your choice
2 oz club soda
Serve over ice and with any additional accouterments such as fresh horseradish, olives, pickles or other pickled vegetables
NA Mimosa:
4 oz chilled orange juice
2 oz chilled kombucha
You can have fun with flavors here too! Try a OJ blend such as pineapple or mango and pick out a complementary kombucha flavor
NA Cucumber gimlet:
2 oz club soda
A few slices of muddled cucumber
1 oz fresh lime juice
1 oz simple syrup
NA Hot toddy:
8 oz hot tea
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon or 1 cinnamon stick
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
Pour the hot tea over the spices, honey and lemon juice in a mug. Garnish with a lemon wedge
NA Margarita:
2 tbsp lime juice
1 tbsp lemon juice
¼ tsp simple syrup
3 oz tonic water
Serve with a salted or sugared rim, (whatever you prefer!), and fresh lime wedges
